Chinese puzzleball set

These sets are fairly common, but they are interesting and attractive. The base of each piece has nested ivory balls carved one inside the other. Puzzleball sets were mass-produced starting approximately in the 1860's, although this set is 100 years more recent than that. I do have an early Chinese puzzleball set in the collection.
