Jaques Chess Sets

John Jaques & Co. in London have manufactured chess sets for nearly 200 years.  Their flagship design is the Staunton pattern, which they originated in 1849.  Today, every tournament game of chess is played on a Staunton-design set.

But Jaques did not just manufacture Staunton sets.  They also made high-quality sets from other famous designs, including Northern Upright, St. George, and Dublin.
