Antique Lyon Wood and Bone Set

A French Lyon set, allegedly from the late 1700's or early 1800's. However, I've developed serious doubts about the age of these types of sets, based on the similarities of the knights with late-1800/early-1900 Regence sets.

The wood appears to be fruitwood. The King and Queen are adorned with bone.
