An extremely rare mint-condition Zimmerman cast iron chess set, with its matching chess table, circa 1850.

Research suggests this may be the only recorded complete Zimmerman chess table in existence. The height of the table is 76cms and the top is 41cms in diameter. Each square is 3.5cms. The table weights approximately 9 kgs.

The chess set is apparently is the rarest of the 5 pattern types made by Zimmerman at the time.
