Indian Ivory Set with Prancing Knights in Fitted Case

An early-to-mid 19th century Anglo-Indian over-sized carved ivory chess set, the Kings with pierced decoration, the Queens with Prince of Wales feathers to their tops, Bishops with pierced fretwork decoration to the edges of their mitres, knights with rare design prancing horses and rooks with turrets.

One side natural ivory, the other stained a dark brown. Comes in original mahogany red felt lined fitted lift up top presentation case. King 5.25 inches ( 13.4 cms.)
