Rare Rajasthan Ivory Chess Set

A rare 18th/19th century Indian carved ivory polychromed and gilt decorated Rajastahn Chess Set. The decoration is very fine with fine Indian tracery designs highlighted in gilt. King size 4".

A very similar set was exhibited at the Hamburg Museum of Art in May/June 2005, and is featured in the book "Schachpartie durch Zeiten und Welten".
