Havana Ensemble from 1966 Chess Olympiad

A near-mint set given by Fidel Castro to each competitor of the 1966 Havana Olympiad, but in this case, the ensemble includes a chess table with inlaid marble board and two chairs (used for Board One in the Olympiad) that Castro gave as a personal gift to one of the members of the Organizing Committee. The ensemble came with a personal card from Castro, a photograph of Castro greeting the original owner of the ensemble, and also the grand wooden carved knight that was used to display the country flag of each competitor.

Fully authenticating documents accompany the ensemble.
